Funerals and Bereavement

Funerals and Bereavement

If you lose a loved one, it may be that you might like to call on the services of Andy and St Mary’s and St Cross for help and support at this  difficult and sensitive time. Whatever faith or none you subscribe to we offer our services without discrimination, in accordance with our policy of non-discrimination in regards to disability, race, creed, gender or sexuality

After contacting one of the many funeral directors in our area, you might like to ask the funeral director to engage the Vicar to take the funeral service either at a local crematorium or at either St Cross or St Mary’s. The funeral director will tell you about any fees incurred.

St Mary’s Churchyard no longer has spaces for the burial of bodies, unless you already have burial rights in an existing family grave which has spaces available. We do offer the internment of cremated ashes in cremation plots in our churchyard whilst space allows for the remains of deceased people who have lived in Middleton parish or had a demonstrable connection with it, regardless of race, creed and so forth.

Please feel free to contact the Vicar for details of all of the above and an indication of any fees incurred.
